By using ExplainTheHack, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What ExplainTheHack provides

ExplainTheHack is an educational study platform for offensive security concepts and interview preparation. It provides lessons, quizzes, flashcards, briefs, learning tracks, and attack path walkthroughs.

ExplainTheHack does not provide live labs, exploit sandboxes, or access to computer systems. The content is for educational and professional development purposes only.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and payments

Premium access requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your premium account credentials with others
  • Redistribute, resell, or republish premium content
  • Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-download content
  • Use the platform to plan or execute unauthorized attacks against systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to test

Intellectual property

All content on ExplainTheHack, including lessons, quizzes, flashcards, briefs, and attack paths, is owned by ExplainTheHack. You may use the content for personal study and professional development. You may not redistribute it.

Disclaimer

ExplainTheHack is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the content is complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular certification or employment outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExplainTheHack is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
